The redevelopment of this 2.25 acre tract at the northwest corner of Loop 360 and Research Blvd came with more than its share of challenges. The existing site was occupied by a 48″ City of Austin water main, TxDOT storm drainage lines, AT&T fiber-optic ductbank, Austin Energy transmission lines, a 12″ high-pressure gas line that all had to be relocated to allow for the placement of a new 7-story “flagship” Porsche dealership. The facility will include 28 services bays located below ground, a two-level showroom, and five floors of auto display and storage. Matador is tasked with navigating the complex permitting process, site development coordination, and Construction Management / Owner’s Rep services for the duration of the project.
